Recovered from the Archive: October Book List (2020)
A recovered list of excellent books I read in October of 2020. All of these still stand the test of time, and are still books I would recommend.
Links are to our neighborhood bookshop in the West Loop, Madison Street Books. Support your local bookshop near you.
Mating in Captivity, by ester perell.
The Old Man and the Sea, by ernest hemingway.
White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk about Racism, by robin diangelo.
The Nickel Boys, by colson whitehead.
5. The Girl with the Louding Voice, by Abi Daré.
6. Untamed, by glennon doyle.
(I re-read this one again in 2023. It’s the best book to pick up during times of uncertainty, questioning, or crisis.)
