I Moved!

As soon as April disappeared into May, I moved one mile north from Southeast DC to Northeast. I am, gratefully, settling into this beautiful new space, that streams in so much natural light through massive windows. Lovely, lovely. :)

The Wharf: A Waterfront to Remember

Just as CityCenterDC makes seasonal changes to their skyline aesthetic, the northwest neighborhood of Shaw boasts fresh wall murals as we slip into April showers.

Snow Day at Little Leaf

Little Leaf was one of those places in DC that I heard about when I first got here…and I’ve been hearing about it nonstop ever since. Now I’m their biggest advocate and have taken several friends there for their first time! This plant shop is cleverly maximizing all there is to be gained from this massive plant trend lately, and they’re doing it well: their instagram is poppin’ and they even have a little store mascot, a sweet little pug named Bronson.

DC Fashion Week: Designer Showcase & A Night of Couture

What a weekend. Exhibit A sent me to DC Fashion Week to cover the event for it’s final two nights: Saturday’s Designer Showcase in Capitol Hill, and Sunday’s Couture Show at the French Embassy.

Guests of the Designer Showcase rocked it, taking the trendy “uniform” to its own level altogether. Blending neon and leather, sky-high platforms and booties, pops of color, and animal print, like my suit.

Union Station

The first time I visited Union Station, I was frantically trying to catch a train to Raleigh, so sprinting through the station with my bags didn’t give me much of a chance to take it all in.
