Everyday Makeup Products

Something small to celebrate - this is my first beauty blog post! I was recently asked what I use for my usual makeup look, so I put together my tried-and-true product list.

A few items to help you navigate…

Many of these products are my recommended high-end options on the left, with most of them paired with a drugstore dupe to the right. For the “big boys” like foundation, setting powder, and bronzer, those listed here are higher-end products that are worth paying a little extra. A makeup artist I follow repeatedly advises not to go cheap on foundation or powder, but feel free to go drugstore on the rest. When you do fork over that extra cash, they last you an incredibly long time.

From my experience, investing more in eye shadows is also worth the splurge. I’ve yet to find a lower-cost eye shadow that delivers on pigment and longevity! Take my word for it and splurge on a good one with colors you’ll wear frequently. It will more than pay for itself over a short time.

That said, let’s kick it off!

Primer: POREfessional (silicone-based) // E.L.F. (silicone-based)

Smashbox Photo Finish Water Primer (water-based)

Foundation/Concealer (full coverage): Clinique Beyond Perfecting 2-in-1 in Ivory (water-based)

Tinted Moisturizer (everyday use): NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in Alaska

Bronzer: Hoola by Benefit

Setting Powder: La Mer The Powder

Eye Liner: Highliner Gel Eye Crayon by Marc Jacobs // Long-Lasting 12 HR Wear Eye Liner by SEPHORA COLLECTION

(both in dark brown, kinder to blue eyes than black liner)

Lip Liners: Whirl and Soar by M.A.C. // All Natural and Spice by Milani

Lipstick: Velvet Teddy by M.A.C. // Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lip Color by bareMinerals (I like Slay, Swag, and Juju)

I’m happy to post more videos and pictures on how I use all of these products. Two eye shadow palettes can go a long way, last for years, and create a whole color range for eye makeup looks!
